Govt. Extends PM E-DRIVE Plan by 2 Years Till March 2028

 Why in News?

The Union Government has extended the ₹10,900 crore PM E-DRIVE Scheme by two years for certain electric vehicle (EV) categories such as electric buses, e-ambulances, and e-trucks.

  • New validity: Till March 2028 (earlier March 2026) for specified categories.
  • For registered e-2 wheelers, the terminal date remains March 31, 2026.
